Local middle schoolers compile grown up Christmas list (please read)

Sixth graders at Gilmer Middle School were asked to write down their wishes for this holiday season. The following are a few of the things they are hoping for this Christmas:
*you may want to grab a tissue

  • for lots of non saved people to get saved

  • to see a smile on everybody's face wherever I go
  • for everyone to have joy
  • for people to care about each other
  • for my grandma to get better
  • for the world to not be torn apart by people arguing
  • for my dad to get better
  • for all families to have a great time

  • for my parents to have a little time to hang out with me and my sister
  • for all the smokers to stop smoking because it can ruin your life
  • to find cures for all kinds of diseases so they can save lives

  • for us to open our presents together and to spend the whole Christmas sitting on the couch watching movies and drinking hot cocoa.
  • to have enough money to buy new clothes for my sisters
  • to have my grandma make my sisters happy and to laugh at her Christmas jokes
  • to help kids who are lost
  • to help the soldiers get home to their families for the holidays
  • no more brain tumors for my dad
  • to have all of my family back
  • to have all of my family be healthy and to be together for Christmas
  • for all kids to experience a Christmas with food, family, and presents (I really want this because some kids don't get Christmas)
  • the number one thing that I want is my mom
  • for people to love, care, and just to be there for one another
  • for my granny to have strength through chemotherapy
  • to help us travel safely
  • to help my church to grow
  • to let my family business make it through

  • for my family to not be torn apart, that we're together again, not spread out all over
  • no more people dying of hunger
  • a dad that will always care
  • for my mother to have a little money
  • for life to be special and amazing just like people always say it can be

  • that my Pawpaw didn't have "all-timers"
  • I pray to God that He will fix our water and take away the ants where we will not have to move this Christmas
  • I would wish that my family would make enough money to survive on (There are so many people who are basically making enough money just to eat)
  • that no one would ever have to feel one bit of loneliness
  • someone to tell me i'll be fine, a friend to keep me safe, someone to keep me in line, to hold my heart in his hands, my dad
  • if you are gone or here, I love you so much, and to see your face again would be such a blessing, my maw-maw
  • for my dad to be under the tree when I wake up that Christmas morning
  • and most of all that every soul would be saved and get to meet God and Jesus in heaven where the streets are gold
